SETV.IE #PlatformingPeople. We all know it’s not the end of the summer until Electric Picnic has happened. Over 50,000 festival revellers are packing with excitement right now, wondering who will they see (A blast from the past), What clothes to bring, saying to yourself ‘will I wear that or not, Nah!
But the main thing we’re all living for is the Main Acts, Bands we know as to show loyalty. Dancing nearly hoping it will rain just for one electrifying hour of letting go and feeling free with warm rain carrying the tunes off stage.
The big Acts guaranteed to bring you to an exhilarated place for whatever mood you seek.
Friday’s main stage; Underworld, Grace Jones, The Coronas and HamSandwich.
Saturday main stage; Blur, Sam Smith, Hot Chip, George Ezra, Future Islands and our very own The Riptide Movement.
Sunday main stage; Florence and the Machine, Manic Street Preachers, Interpol, Boomtown Rats, Jurassic 5, Legend and the classic Dublin Gospel Choir.
There are so many arenas, tents, wooded areas, food tents, arts and crafts and spoken word events, you will seriously be a kid in a candy shop, so make sure and get a map of EP festival layout, to get the most of this years amazing cultural experience. Bring a costume and get involved in arty animal madness by participating in the Guerilla Aerial. A mysterious nomadic tribe of gender bending, half deranged actors, acrobats, dancers, musicians and storytellers. On Saturday and Sunday they will go on walkabout and will finish at the Huxley Horror Funeral Parlour in Trailer Park for a big funeral.
Whatever the Irish weather decides this weekend, we will have a blast pure festival style. The forecast is showing dry with sunny spells, still bring the wellies!
There is so much to hear, see, smell, touch and taste so get stuck in and be prepared.

Toiletries and towel (aerosols under 250ml)

Plenty of clean socks
Any medications that you need and contraception
Reusable bottle to fill water from taps on site.
Only bring what you can afford to lose. Remember a tent is not secure.
